- Do you believe that you can learn self-awareness?
- Do you believe that if you become more self-aware, it will change your health and life?

My Mission
My mission is to work with you through any destructive habits you may have of mind, body and spirit.
Bad habits can hold you back from enjoying optimal health. Bad habits can hold you back from fulfilling relations with others and God.
Changing habits is complex; one habit alone isn’t to blame for most people’s downfall. Realistically, repetitive, multiple negative habits over time are the culprit.
Let’s focus on good habits that lead us to be well in our mind, body and spirit.
Alternatively, bad habits can lead us to struggle with poor health.
If you want to find a way to overcome feelings that drag you down. If you want to overcome habits that make and keep you sick, you must become aware of why.
What Holds You Back from a Happy Life?
This article helps you to cultivate good habits for happiness and optimal health. I like to call them Well-Habits!
I like to take a holistic approach to the optimal health of the body (body and awareness) and awareness of your spirit (inner awareness/spirituality).
Let’s get first things first; you can only develop well-habits if you are self-aware. So, let’s take a moment and ask ourselves-
- What drives my decisions?
- How do I honestly feel about myself?
- How do I honestly feel about the people in my life?
- What causes me to behave the way I do?
Jesus said, ‘You must know the truth, and the truth will set you free’. Do you want to be free to be the real You? If the answer is Yes! I invite you to Read on.

Self-Awareness
Self-awareness is often defined as the ability to engage in honest self-reflection. It’s about seeing yourself as others see you. Self-awareness is learning to understand why you feel the way you do and what you do about it. It’s about understanding why you react in a particular way.
Once you begin to understand yourself, you can change things about yourself.
Self-awareness can turn bad habits into good ones.
Learning to be self-aware will enable you to create the life you want. You will become the CEO of your own life.
No longer will you be bounced around by your unruly behaviours and emotions. Self-awareness enables you to keep yourself in check better because you know how YOU work.
It’s almost impossible to change and become self-accepting without self-awareness.
Clarifying who you are, how you react, and what you want is empowering. It gives you the courage and confidence to make even the most challenging changes.

How Self-aware Are You?
Self-awareness helps you be more aware of your thoughts, emotions and behaviours.
Being self-aware is a vital tool for both personal and professional success.
Self-awareness is also vital to overcoming negative behaviours and habits. When you are self-aware, you empower yourself. You are free to choose where to focus your emotions, energy. You will be better able to improve and direct your life’s course.
Be Introspective
Learning to look into your soul is the best way to develop self-awareness continually. Learn to see yourself as others see or perceive you.
The more self-aware you become, the more you can improve and make positive changes in your life and lifestyle.
As you develop an awareness of the self, you connect with your uniqueness and the essence that makes you?—?You!
God made you unique; there is no other person on earth just like you!
You become self-aware as you look into your inward self and associated behaviour.
When you understand what your core values are, you become more self-aware.
Be an evaluator of yourself.

Let me Share Something with You.
When I feel overwhelmed and panicked, I plunge into negative habits, making matters worse.
What makes me feel down isn’t always apparent at the time, which adds to my distress. However, Understanding who I am and how I react helps me to see why these unwanted feelings occurred.
And then it’s half the battle done, which makes me hopeful that things will be okay.
Why I Journal for My Mental Health
Over the years, I have learned the value of jotting things down. So, when I feel low, I note it down. When I am happy, I jot it down.
I briefly describe how I feel and the circumstance that led to it, then date it. Later, I can reflect on my writing; only then can I see why I felt that way.
For example, I look into my journal when I feel overwhelmed and cannot see why. There I can see when similar feelings and circumstances occurred and why.
Reviewing my past reactions, I can see a pattern of behaviour emerging. With this knowledge, I can better adjust myself and the circumstances or compensate. I will work through my thoughts and reactions to the situation better next time.
Looking at the notes, I realise the importance of taking the time, and effort, to jot things down. Sometimes writing does take an effort, especially if you are dyslexic like me.
Remind yourself to care for your mind because it is paramount to your well-being. Journalling is a well-habit that is worth developing and practising daily.
Awareness of self is an excellent tool for coping with all the feelings and reactions we experience.
This is important because we can turn around our negative feelings when we learn positive reactions, which will become a well- habit.
Self-Care is about looking after your mind (mindfulness) and your body and spirit (soul).
