Lip Smacking Keto Snacks

I’m not one for regular snacking, but when I first started Keto, I was at a loss as to what on earth I could snack on if I wanted to. But when I learned more about the keto lifestyle, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of healthy low-carb and high-protein snacks I could eat and enjoy. 

To get your started, Here’s a list of keto-friendly snacks that are low in carbohydrates and high in healthy fats that I enjoy and I hope you do too!

  1. Nuts and Seeds:
  • Almonds
  • Walnuts
  • Pecans
  • Macadamia nuts
  • Chia seeds
  • Flaxseeds
  1. Cheese:
  • String cheese
  • Cheese cubes or slices
  • Cream cheese
  • Brie
  • Cheddar
  • Gouda
  1. Meat and Jerky:
  • Beef jerky (check for low-carb varieties)
  • Turkey or chicken slices
  • Pepperoni or salami slices
  • Prosciutto or other cured meats
  1. Avocado-based Snacks:
  • Guacamole with veggie sticks
  • Avocado slices with salt and pepper
  • Bacon-wrapped avocado
  1. Vegetables and Dip:
  • Celery sticks with cream cheese or peanut butter
  • Cucumber slices with guacamole
  • Cherry tomatoes with mozzarella
  1. Hard-Boiled Eggs:
  • Hard-boiled eggs with salt or keto mayonnaise
  1. Seaweed Snacks:
  • Roasted seaweed snacks
  1. Low-Carb Yogurt:
  • Greek yoghurt (unsweetened)
  • Coconut milk yoghurt
  1. Olives:
  • Green or black olives
  1. Pork Rinds:
  • Plain or flavoured pork rinds (be careful not to damage your teeth as rinds are tough)
  1. Dark Chocolate:
  • Choose dark chocolate with high cocoa content and minimal sugar
  1. Low-Carb Bars:
  • Look for keto-friendly protein or snack bars
  1. Cheese Crisps:
  • Baked or fried cheese crisps
  1. Sugar-Free Gelatin:
  • Sugar-free gelatin cups or homemade gelatin
  1. Low-Carb Smoothies:
  • Use almond milk, spinach, berries (in moderation), and a keto-friendly sweetener

Remember to check the labels for hidden sugars and unnecessary carbohydrates, especially in processed snacks. Also, portion control is essential to stay within your daily carb limit.
